Hello everyone! I am a drummaker and i am currently looking for a way to dye the different rawhides I work with (elk, deer, goat, moose, horse, buffalo). I am looking for vivid colors that once the skins are flexible I can tiedye the thinner lighter ones and also use the dyes as paints.

I have used henna with great success (but its brown) and india ink which should be permanent and waterproof washes off. I have tried tie dye dyes (tulip), alcohol inks (adorondak)

Any help would be great!!
