Members cuffcutter Posted January 4, 2018 Members Report Posted January 4, 2018 I have been trying for some time to occasionally use black or tan color highlight over my original color. Problem is that the highlight changes the original shade. Do I need to coat with something like rislone, atomic wax, or leather balm and let dry before applying the highlight or antiquing? Thanks in advance for your suggestions. Quote
Members Mattsbagger Posted January 4, 2018 Members Report Posted January 4, 2018 In short.. Yes. You need a resist. It will probably darken the original color a bit anyways. Look in the how do I do that sub there is a tutorial on antiquing. Also Don Gonzales has a good video on YouTube. Quote
