Members JMcC Posted January 14, 2018 Members Report Posted January 14, 2018 I don't understand either. The leather he is working with came already dyed. The only dye he used was on the edges. And beeswax for burnishing it looked like? I hope that helps. Quote
Members Mattsbagger Posted January 14, 2018 Members Report Posted January 14, 2018 It appears to be an aniline dyed leather. And he is using a dark brown or black dye on the edges. He also slicked the back with gum trag or Tokanole.the ones he was showing on the computer were. Block dyed or airbrushed with a lighter color and hen a darker color. Some call it Sunburst some call it patina dyed.Burnished edges always get darker. I don't know if any of this helps. Quote
