Members Jeni Posted March 5, 2018 Members Report Posted March 5, 2018 Hey everyone, I'm building my first set of chinks with a friend who's much more experienced with leatherwork than me, but he's never done a twisted fringe, and I'm hoping to do two layers twisted. We've read up on how to twist the fringe itself, but for the double layer, are we starting off with just taking the two tones of loose fringe and twisting together, or should we glue the two layers of leather together before cutting it into the fringe, so it's already together before twisting? We're of course going to experiment a little on some scrap before doing the twist on the chinks, but advice from someone who's done it before would be super helpful and appreciated! Quote
