Also, BUYLEATHERONLINE.COM has nice, thin finished goatskin that I've gotten in the past. (Having said that, the only colors at the time were black and tan.) The pigskin suggestion by another responder isn't a bad ides. It's pretty tough stuff, so if durability is more important than appearance, I'd go with it. Best of luck with your future projects.
