Members JDK67 Posted August 20, 2018 Members Report Posted August 20, 2018 Still learning Didn’t see any previous discussions on this issue so,,, While dying a 2-3oz piece of veggitan it looks like water spots in it. Should I have “cleaned” the leather first with a deglazer.? There was NO water on the leather before starting the dye. And no finish that I know of on it previously. Quote
DarkGoku Posted August 20, 2018 Report Posted August 20, 2018 I find using the Fiebing's saddle soap w/glycerin before Appling a color tends to come out a little more even, and your less likely to have contamination on the surface that acts as a blocker/ blotch-er. Quote
