Therese Report post Posted March 10, 2019 Looking at one for medium weight leather - wondering about its ability to handle #69 bonded nylon thread. Looks like max needle size is 16, which should be OK, I think. I've seen it sewing through several layers of webbing, but the thread was a lighter weight. Any advice or insights, folks? Many thanks for your wisdom!
Wizcrafts Report post Posted March 10, 2019 With a #18 needle it will sew with #69 bonded thread. Leather points are available if it uses the common domestic System HAx1 needles (with a flat on the shank). Your uncommon machine was made in Germany in the early to mid 1950s (reference). Parts may or may not be a problem.
