Singer 15K 80 domestic machine

A friend has just offered me a 15K 80 machine in a case free if I can use it. The machine was made on the 12th June 1956 and has an electric motor.  Would this machine be able to sew the light leather right upto were my 331K5 can take over?

any help with this is much appreciated
