Members Bert51 Posted February 24, 2020 Members Report Posted February 24, 2020 I was wondering if you could help by identifying this machine. All I know it is a Consew upholstery machine, but it is missing it's ID plates. I looks similar to Singer/Seiko's I have seen in the pasted, but I have no idea of the model. Thanks, Bert. Quote
Moderator Wizcrafts Posted February 24, 2020 Moderator Report Posted February 24, 2020 It may be a Consew 206RB-something Quote
Members Bert51 Posted February 24, 2020 Author Members Report Posted February 24, 2020 Thanks Wiz, I just want to look at a manual before seeing it. Bert. Quote
Members Constabulary Posted February 24, 2020 Members Report Posted February 24, 2020 (edited) Seiko STW-8B I´d say. Edited February 24, 2020 by Constabulary Quote
JJN Posted February 24, 2020 Report Posted February 24, 2020 In the US I would say it looks like a Consew 226R. I don't know if Seiko sold as Consew or Seiko in Australia. The bottom of the bed should have the Seiko name cast into it either way. Quote
Members Bert51 Posted February 25, 2020 Author Members Report Posted February 25, 2020 Thank you for your help, the 206 and the 226 look very similar, if I put both on my phone I might look like I know what I'm looking at. Thanks, Bert. Quote
Members Colt W Knight Posted February 29, 2020 Members Report Posted February 29, 2020 I have a 206, and that isn't a 206. But I do believe it is a 226 or corresponding seiko Quote

Members Bert51 Posted March 1, 2020 Author Members Report Posted March 1, 2020 Thank you good people, was not as described. I'll keep looking. Thanks, Bert. Quote
Members Handstitched Posted March 1, 2020 Members Report Posted March 1, 2020 (edited) @Bert51 Look familiar? Super reliable Seiko STW-28B. Built in 1966 . Its a twin needle, but I only use it as a single. Never had the need for a twin, although I still have all the bits for a twin. Happy sewing HS PS: I can never find a manual for the STW 28 B twin needle , so I use a Consew 226 manual. Edited March 1, 2020 by Handstitched Quote
