Hi all, total newbie here. I just ordered a 2' x 2' panel of Wicket & Craig Bridle leather from a very reputable online company. One third of the leather piece looks "marbled" to me and when I contacted the company, they indicated that it was normal and that what I was seeing were fat wrinkles. Is this normal? 1/3 of the leather looks unusable to me; especially given that I had planned on using the entire piece on a single project and to me, 1/3 of the leather looks completely different than the rest of the leather.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yeah, that's normal, though they might as well give you a piece without the marbling.you can always refuse the product and ask them for a clean piece.
