Contributing Member Jordan Posted September 19, 2007 Contributing Member Report Posted September 19, 2007 I have noted on a wide variety of web sites that most makers of modern holsters are backlogged from 8 to 30! weeks. Is business that good? Reason for asking is I am interested in increasing my revenue stream by making them. Quote
BruceGibson Posted September 20, 2007 Report Posted September 20, 2007 All the good holster makers are booked from 4-months to two years. The key is not only a quality product, but accurate delivery date forecasting. If you can provide those two things you'll do well. Quote
Contributing Member Jordan Posted September 21, 2007 Author Contributing Member Report Posted September 21, 2007 Bruce thanks for the response, very sound advise. Hope more members chime in so I can get a better feel for if I want to expend the cash to get into it. I am having trouble finding a supplier for a flat metal belt clip that is heavy duty and considered a saftey clip, all I can get are the flimsy chrome ones. any ideas? Thanks...Jordan Quote
Members Calleather Posted September 28, 2007 Members Report Posted September 28, 2007 Jordan, Not sure about the sporting goods market, but be very careful in the Law Enforcement business. The liability is huge. I just left a job with two major manufacturers and that is a big concern. Quote
