Assembling new 206rb-5; Hand Wheel Does Nothing but unscrew itself when turned

Recommended Posts

So...after assembling and oiling, when I turn the machine on and press the peddle (same if I turn by hand) the only result is the screw in the hand wheel unscrewing itself causing the hand wheel to want to fly off. Similarly, if I use the knee lifter it does nothing (& it is installed correctly...even if I push on the lever with the bearing, it does nothing)

..being that it’s a brand new machine shipped directly to me from overseas, I’m pretty sure my issue lies within the machine having been over tightened from the factory....that being said, I’m not comfortable just starting to loosen/re-tighten random screws here or there with zero knowledge of what I’m doing....

Im hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction by suggesting where it might possibly be over tightened...

Or of course, if anyone has ANY other suggestions, I’m all ears...

Ive turned to this community for answers to my many machine questions for a long time now, but this is the first time I’m having to post my very own question .....kind of exciting for me really....despite the growing irritation from not being able to try out my new $1500 machine!

Thank you in advance,

Heidi
