karpen Report post Posted August 16, 2021 (edited) Hi all I have researched and read and read but I only get more confused Today I sew both leather and canvas by hand, mostly smaller things. Small leather goods I will continue to hand stitch, but canvas would be nice to do with a machine. I use up to #277 thread (thickness for decorative purpose). Canvas thickness about 3-5mm (3/32 - 3/16 inch). Speed, I would like to go one stitch at a time basically. Is there a machine in the not-crazy-expensive-range that could handle this? I'm also looking to start making sturdy leather bags, so hopefully it can handle that as well but with a "normal" thread size. Walking foot is a must, I guess cylinder arm is best option for the bags. And sorry if this has been discussed, I have tried to find it! Oh, and I am located in Europe. Wizcrafts Report post Posted August 16, 2021 I believe that the Cowboy CB3200 is a good machine that meets your requirements. You will have to find a dealer who services Sweden. I will post about this if I get that information.

Gymnast Report post Posted August 18, 2021 I live in Denmark, and quite often I see industrial sewing machines for sale at resonable price level. Depending on how good you can service machines, you may spend some money to get a used machine serviced. I know of two companies selling heavy sewing machines in Denmark.
