Members Eureka38 Posted October 23, 2021 Members Report Posted October 23, 2021 Hi I have just got a second hand Pfaff 335 and the walking feet don't seem to be quite square with the feed plate/end of the cylinder arm. Which is making the needle hole in the walking foot touch the needle and splitting the thread. I have taken the feet off to see if I could twist them to sit straighter & you can do this with the front foot to screw into place at desired angle, but the rear foot has a straight plate that fixes into the metal drive pillar at the back and can only go in at a set angle.... my question is can I release this back drive pole/pillar that runs up and through the machine, with any screw/adjustment somewhere to realign the foot at the base? Many thanks for any help ... am just hoping I haven't spent what little cash I have & got a dodgy machine . Quote
Moderator Wizcrafts Posted October 23, 2021 Moderator Report Posted October 23, 2021 The outside foot connects to the "presser bar," which is connected to the lifting mechanism by one or two screws Loosen those screws and the bar can be rotated. It is also possible that there will be an alignment tab at the upper end of the bar that rides inside a split shaft. That tab has a set screw too that can be loosed to rotate the bar.
