Revolver Blue Gun Question

Recommended Posts

Have only done revolver holsters using the actual revolver. When you have a model gun with different barrels lengths, how do you compensate for the barrel differences. Example: J frame blue gun available in 4" barrel length. Have a J frame 3" barrel order. What to do?

I appreciate the advice.

Thanks

Shooter

I leave my holsters completely open on the bottom. I can use a 5" 1911 for any size I need to build. No complaints. Outside of that, you could buy the 4" and cut the barrel.

Hey Shooter,

I'd do like Jason says and leave the bottom open. When your holster is stitched up mold the top portion like normal then pull the gun up about an inch and do whatever molding or forming you like around the end of the barrel. I think it would be possible to get good results without modifying the blue gun you have or getting another one.

Good luck,

Josh
