Well, if you're going to go the double layer belt route, I like to add just a little to the length to the center hole, about an inch. I measure from the fold over where the buckle is and that seems to do just fine, can accommodate regular buckles and trophy buckles.

Try adding an inch to the length and see if that works well for you. Depending on many things, you may need to tweak the added length a bit to fit your needs

Go to my website, . . . go to the belt page, . . . diagram there will give you the best way I have found to measure a belt for a customer.

(actually, . . . the customer does the measuring, . . . so if it is off, . . . you are not on the hook for bad measuring)

I look at the "client" or at least at the weapon size, hoster design, IWB vs OWB, and I'll add anywhere from 1 to 3 inches depending on the factors I see that make it a requirement.
