Tooling Leather

Recommended Posts

Just tape it with blue painters tape, or if you want a slight fuzzy back when you're done- regular packing tape.

I like it (packing tape)as I line most projects and want the slight nap left to glue to.

Same here, I put 2-3 layers of packing tape on the back and go over it with a roller.

I use tape as well but also use self adhesive shelf paper for wallets, Bible Covers, etc. I buy it by the roll and it lasts a long time, make sure it's the "permanent" adhesive one. They are not permanent but the stick well, protect the leather from stretching and peel off very easily.

I'll try the shelf paper also, but hide it from the girlfriend as to not give her any ideas of resurfacing her shelfs..lol
