Hi folks,

I recently got interested in braiding and stumbled across this site while I was searching for resources. Y'all are such a treasure trove of information, it's almost unbelieveable. So far I've taught myself four, six, and eight plaits from Bruce Grant's and Robert Woolery's books, but it's hard to know if I'm doing it all right. If there's anyone braiding leather or rawhide reasonably near Austin who wouldn't mind me peering over your shoulder, I'd love to hear from you.

Anyway, if and when I have something to show, I'll definitely be posting it.

Thanks,

James

Hi James... Welcome to the site. I am not a rawhide braider, but I am in Austin... Pflugervill, acutally... maybe we will run into one another one of these days. You might check out the leather guild that meets at the Tandy store.

James, Hook 'em Horns ! Although I'm in Africa now, I graduated from UT in '84. I'll be of no help in braiding, but will continue to admire it. I have a brother in the Austin area, near Pflugerville.
