I want to dye my new seat from a 'light' brown to black, but with a fading effect, making it appear the center used to be black but has worn off... Also, less important but still...is there a way to add a green 'tint' to the black, like adding green to the clearcoat then spraying of black base... Thanks yall, love this place! Dwight Report post Posted October 15, 2014 Airbrush ! First dye the whole thing the lightest color you will be using, . . . come back and feather in the fades you want. Suggestion, . . . go practice on some cardboard or something else first, . . . get your technique down. Harbor freight has airbrushes for less than $30, . . . and they'll work for what you are doing. And yes, . . . if you want a hint of green, . . . you can add that to the clearcoat, . . . but again, . . . better practice it so you know what you are getting.
