Weaver Master Tools?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone used any of the Weaver Master tools? I have emailed them and they said that they are made in the US. Which is important to me, and the price doesnt seem too bad. Are they on par with say, Osborne tools? That are made now, not antiques lol. Just wondering what everyones opinion is on them?

Thanks,

Chris

P.S. Please dont start a war as in these tools are better then those tools. Pretty please :begging:

Chris, The knives and punches I have handled are overall better than the new Osbornes, They are finished better and sharper out of the box. Still not 100% sharp, but closer.

Thanks Bruce. That is what I was wanting to know. They seem affordable for USA made stuff. That's what I'm after!

Thank You,

Chris

+1 on the Weaver Master Tools. Well worth the investment, IMO.

This may sound a bit counterintuitive at first but in my experience the WMTs have been a little TOO sharp for careless use brought on by years of using tools that weren't sharp enough to punch cleanly and easily but have to be really whacked. Do this to the WMTs and eventually you will nick the edges. The real answer, of course, is to expect tools to be sharp and use them accordingly. If they aren't sharp, sharpen them. Some call that the learning curve.
