raysouth Report post Posted February 20, 2015 Howdy Y'all, Now and then I come up with something that seems to be something that would be a fun task for everyone. As a ham operator years ago, we always collected cards from other operators around the world and it was a great way to see how creative folks were, designing and making/printing their own style of card. Nearly everyone has a makers mark that they are proud of and would be great to collect marks from others, perhaps in the form of a key fob or just a simple mark on some scrap leather. I will send a fob with my mark to anyone else willing to share theirs with me. Could be fun for all of us and something to enjoy in a display in your shop. Anyone willing to give it a try, just let me know you would like to participate, send me a mailing address, and I will make a fob and send it your way. All that you have to do is reciprocate by sending me a copy of your mark on some form of leather scrap or fob. Also, folks, let me know how you feel about this fun project. humperdingle Report post Posted February 20, 2015 I remember the ham radio cards (or CB - Citizen Band) radio over here... used to be a cool thing to collect. Must have been early 80s?
