Another new guy

Thought I'd introduce myself. I've been lurking on the forum for a little while now. Your work and encouragement of one another is inspiring to see. I've never done any leather work but I did inherit some tools from a great uncle. Funny I came into the tools in 1987 and I'd never used them but still have them. So it is time to dust them off and start learning. I have just the basic tools..but the wife did let me spend some $ at Tandy last week. Anyway- I live in Ohio and I've spent the better part of the last 6 years in school finishing a Bachelors degree and then grad school. So my hobby was home work. Now that I am done with that I have the time and desire to learn how to do leather work. The tutorials and sharing of your work is very helpful. I don't know what help I can be but feel free to ask.

Hi Wapak, and Welcome to Leatherworker.net. Have a look around, think up some questions and ask away. There's a ton of folks here that'll help you figure out anything you're trying to do. Grab a seat and stay a while- restrooms are down the hall, Coffee is brewed regularly, but don't eat the donuts.

Suze- I sent Wapak a PM as soon as I caught the user name. We're going to get together now that the holidays are over (yeah!) maybe you would like to join us in the shop? Are you still off from work? (Chris & Sean- Susie is my cousin!) Suze- Welder used to work at the same company you and Wade do. As soon as they get Jesus off the renovated lock I'll take some pics and send them to him. (I don't know why the nativity scene on the lock bothers me so much- Jesus wasn't born on a boat and it looks like a moat surrounds Him.)

Wapak- PM me your phone number or give me a call (I'm in the book in New Knoxville).
