I have tried the small Dremel tool sanding drums but find they are to large. For the flat parts I use a nail file or emery board but what to use on the top and bottom round parts? Colt Hammerless Report post Posted October 11, 2013 I use a wood dowel (likely 1/4 inch diameter) with sandpaper wrapped around it. I tape the sandpaper at the top and the bottom. I then stick it in the drill press. Works pretty fast. Paul Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

chiefjason Report post Posted October 11, 2013 Any sanding is minor and done by hand. I burnish them well though. FWIW, they will get wrecked pretty quick and the belt will do some burnishing on them with wear. I get them decent and functional and focus on the outside edges for looks.
