Finishing Backstitch Unravelled.

Recommended Posts

I had a piece I finish come apart at the backstitch. The thread is not poly so it can't be burned.

How can I finish the stitch the next time so it won't come apart.

Before you trim the thread. ..pull it tight and make sure that the knot is buried in the leather, then trim the thread as close as you can---but be careful you don't cut any other thread except the excess tails.

Hope this helps
