just finished this one for my buddy last night. took some advice from boomstick (thanks) on the oven trick, and i also dyed it before moulding (read that somewhere on here too). turned out ok, but more importantly, my buddy is stoked with it.

for a S&W .40

I like the initials. Your buddy is gonna be happy with that for years to come. Keep working on them and they will keep improving!

I'm not Jeff from Boomstick but Kman pointed me in the right direction. Hang your wet, formed holster in the oven at about 120 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or so. My oven only goes down to 150 degress so I only put it in for about 15 to 20 minutes.

This will make a firm holster but it won't be so firm that it's brittle (the problem I was having when I tried to dry it with a heat gun or hair dryer).
