Done for this session. I used some dye for the black and acrylic paint for the colors. Big learning project! I did not case the leather before starting, so I went all in with the paint. I don't like losing the depth of all that tooling, but now I know how the paint looks...6 inches one way, half a foot the other...

I have found the new French water stains at Tandy have almost as vivid colors as the acrylic paints, and you do not lose the tooling marks and depths.
