Glock 22 Holster and Mag Pouch

Holster and Magazine Pouch I made for the Chief Deputy of my local Sheriff's Dept. The color in the photo didn't turn out very well as I was using my iphone 4s instead of my DSLR.

Thanks again SouthernCross. As for the stain and finish, I sprayed each panel with Fiebing's Burgundy (with an airbrush). After that set for a bit, I came back and airbrushed around the outside with Fiebing's Black. After stitching/molding was complete, I applied neatsfoot oil and let that sit for 24 hours. The last step was to airbrush about a 50/50 mix of acrylic resolene and water. The color looks a little purple in these pictures. I was using my iPhone instead of my DSLR. The color looks more correct in my First Holsters gallery. Thanks for looking!

Thanks, Jack. I have an airbrush and it looks like I need to dig it out and try it soon.

With the Fiebings burgundy, did you use it straight without cutting it?

And am I understanding correctly that you sprayed/dyed the leather first and then molded it?

SC, that is correct. With the white thread, I had to dye it before stitching, so the first thing I did after cutting the parts was to dye them. It has worked well for me so far.

I did not cut the Fiebings dye. As a matter of fact, the lid to my airbrush bottle fits perfectly on the dye bottle, so I just screwed it on and started spraying. The only thing I did before spraying was that I dampened the panels a bit and let them set a few minutes...seems to help, but not totally sure if that is necessary or not.

I do a lot of spray dying so I definitely need to try this. It is beautiful.
