Members MonicaJacobson Posted February 7, 2015 Report Thanks, EC! My carving needs a little work, but the dye job hides it nicely. Quote
Members Noll9173 Posted February 16, 2015 Report What dye method did you use? That has been my biggest challage. Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted February 16, 2015 Report Hi Noll, I used fiebings, and mixed four different batches. One batch was straight yellow, the next a reddish brown, and then a yellowish reddish brown, then some of that with black added. I dyed the whole thing yellow, then went towards the edges with the darker colors. After that, I blended it with a bit more lighter red and plain yellow. After that, I resolened the whole thing. Hope that helps! In general, dying is also my biggest challenge. The tooling helped disguise the dye streaks I usually get. Quote
