Report reply Egits Posted March 24, 2019 My "Barracuda" the the Sailrite "Monster Wheel". Made a metal guard for the new handwheel. I extended the two motor machine bolts to provide a secure mount for my simple guard. Will be adding a thread guard from Sailrite next. Quote Share this comment Link to comment

Report reply Egits Posted March 29, 2019 I really like this machine. With the "Monster Wheel" it sews any leather that can fit under the walking foot. I sewed some ballistic type nylon strapping together and the machine did beautifully. As you can see I added some of my own touches. I do like that it has a handle especially if you don;t have a carry case. The machine also comes with a zipper foot which was a nice add. Sewing is not good for fine materials without having to tension adjustments top and bottom. I think this is an issue with any machine of this type. I have a coup;e of other machines better suited for light material. I did opt to use the set screws to lock down on the "Monster Wheel" rather relying on the clutch system. Down side you lose free spinning hand wheel for bobbin winding. I have a stand alone bobbin winder for that convenience. For the price point is good as compared to it's competitors with the same features. . Quote Share this comment Link to comment
