I am a pretty handy lady. I can figure out how most things work and how to put them together just by looking at them. several years ago, I got an urge to make things out of metal. I bought a forge, anvil, and coal for the unheard-of price of $125US (the Forge in fire show didn't exist yet) and started doing that. I got quite proficient at blade smithing so what came next was leather. I needed to make sheaths for my knives. I started by hand with a quick stitcher then I started looking for an appropriate sewing machine to make it easier on my hands and that is how I ended up here. I found a sewing machine that was close to me and could sew leather (Singer 51W54). I came here asking for help and got tons of it from you fine people. Now I've started to try my hand at shoe making, we will see how that goes.

Other things I like to do are repairing vintage electronics. HIFI systems, old computers, and power tools.

The ADHD compels me, but I don't mind that except for the many, many sheds and shipping container that I've bought to put all my stuff in. One day I'll make myself sell some of the stuff I've fixed and get some of the money and space back.
