Regis,the get together is mainly geared toward knife making,i hope to have a sheath maker here for the weekend to demo,wont know for sure until closer to the get together,either way we will cover some leather work (sheaths) thats about all i know how to do,you are more than welcome to come over, Matthew,yes i post on Foggs forum,it was probably one of mine that you saw, we are not that far from north al, come on down,Tracy

Hey, Dave thanks for the nice words,the wood is Tiger Maple, and yes i have my own forge this piece started as a round bar 1 1/4" in dia. its great we get to play in the fire, beat on things and nobody yell at me :fire:

yes Holly,the sheath slides down the handle,the lace goes over the top from the back and back under its self in the front,the antler tip slides up to keep it tight,hope you can understand what im trying to say, i dont always do a good job of putting things into words,thanks for the kind words on the knives Shane, take care, Tracy
