Sorry for the delay in response to your comments. I wrapped a strip of leather around the feed tube attached with chicago screw followed with attaching sling to a dee ring with a swivel snap. There was no actual molding of the leather on the guard i cut my pattern tight for both the wrap and butt plate and laced, attached the cover with leather boot laces. I can post more photos if needed.
