I need stainless hardware for my tack. I hate using nickel plated because it eventually rusts...can't seem to find just plain stainless though - does anyone know a good source other than Tandy?

I've been reading old posts........what is the best machine that won't cost me a fortune. I need one for breastcollars, headstalls and halters. I have a yamata fy5618 and it works great, but it won't use thick enough thread and starts to bog down on heavy leather. Any thoughts or help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I am such a novice at this!! When I use thicker thread to sew, which is great for heavier leather, the thread balls up on the back of the piece whenever I go to backstitch. How do you finish of your sewing if you can't backstitch? Help me please!!!
