  1. Hello, most TexTan are worth repairing and using or reselling. The one you have is worth very much fixing back up. They usually bring in around $500-$700 in the Midwest area. Just to let you know~
  2. Kate; if this saddle is still available I would love to entertain its presence in my shop?
  3. My friend has asked me to look into a saddle she took in on trade. After some research via the Internet I found out this is a authentic Texas Saddlery Saddle stamped 91025. What I am trying to determine is its actual fair market value in excellent condition? Also have some general question if anyone knows more about the saddle maker and how he went about the build and materials utilized? Thanks in advance~
  4. Mike, can you also send me a copy of those same instructions? I am running into the same area Ron is as well. Thanks in advance. Dennis

  7. I am looking for a pattern or design that encompasses the use of feathers as a border outline for a custom Saddle for someone. I have only seen it once before. I cannot remember lcoation. IF anyones has seen or can provide me a sample of this please let me know~
  8. You might try a Harness Shop that carries a variety of buckles and clasp like this. You also might inquire with either Axelrod Company http://www.axelrodco.com or Ohio Travel bag Co. http://www.ohiotravelbag.com or Alibab.com http://www.alibaba.com I am certain if you advise them of the application this is used for and provide dimensions details they can find it for you.
  9. I have recovered 170 spools 525 feet of 9-Ply/Waxed/Polyester/twisted hand sewing thread going to waste. This is most excellent for saddle stitching by hand for various pieces. This was made by Coats North America and is very hard to come by for saddle makers/repair/restoration. If you know anyone interested please send them my way, and I'll be happy to send them as many as they want for small price of $10 per spool. Contact me via Facebook or via e-mail: FB: SaddleThunder - Dbl D_A Custom Saddle Repair / RestorationsE-Mail: danetengr57@yahoo.com Thanks; Dennis
  10. I am looking for copies or PDF files from earlier catalog's from Tandy that were from the 50's - 60's -70's that showed those tools by either name or number and example picture of the tool's end. IF you know where I can locate or pursue them I would greatly appreciate it. I have tried Tandy and they were no help.
