  1. I did some bad math in my original post. The total value of what I have is more than $2400.00 (at Tandy's prices). Total value at my prices would be $1355.00. Still willing to sell it all for $800 plus shipping if you buy it all.
  2. Over 120+ packages of hardware (approx 7600 pieces) all from Tandy. Rings, snaps, rivets, buckles eyelets, etc. Easily over $1400 in value if bought from tandy (not including their outrageous shipping costs). Buy it all for $800 or pick and choose your pieces. Buyer to pay actual shipping costs from 08023 See the list below. I have a ton more pictures but have limited space here. Let me know if you want to see more. 3. There seems to be a lot of different places/people selling similar machines. Does anyone know if any one source is "better" than another?
  4. If available, I will take the 3/4 inch letters. Let me know. Thanks
  5. Here's an instructional page on how to do it. https://www.brisa.fi/portal/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=20&Itemid=15&limit=1&limitstart=1
  6. What about gluing and compressing layers of leather together like when making a knife handle? After gluing, sanding and polishing you would have a surface as hard as wood and nice and shiny and you could simply drill the hole in the center to what ever size you need. And I imagine it wouldn't stretch much if at all due to being "impregnated" with glue.
  7. Good day. I read in a post that there is an "adult" section where I can find corsets. I am interested in making a corset for my fiance and need help (and lots of it, LOL). I would like access to the adult area (and instructions on how to find it). My DOB is 08/25/1968 (just turned 43). Name: Mike UserName: mag246 IP Address: 173.72.94.170 Email Address: mag246@yahoo.com
  8. I have made a set of arm bracers with an included carved bone decoration I also made myself (I carve bone necklaces as well) and my previous mentor suggested I glue some pig skin on the inside of the bracer for comfort. My question for the pros here is: A. which side of the pigskin should be going against my skin? and B: Is contact cement the right thing to use?
  9. Another question for ya. Should I oil before or after cementing/stitching? I'm assuming after would be the way to go but just wanted to check.
  10. Hi all, I am new to leather working. I'm creating a set of arm bracers to go with my renaissance outfit. I have cut, and punched and dyed the pieces and sinew, made the straps and buckles and riveted them to the bracers. I will be contact cementing then stitching the pieces next. A friend who works on leather (who I no longer have contact with) told me what supplies to buy. Well, he had me buy prime neatsfoot oil compound and pure neatsfoot oil. My question is, which one do I use first and how? I also plan on cementing pigskin to the inside of the bracer. BTW. The white thing in the middle is carved from bone, I also make hand carved bone necklaces. The piece on the bracer is just a random shape I chose.
