  1. Thanks, I appreciate the praise for sure. Could anyone help with some suggestions on waterproofing the crossed latigo lacing on the top of the bags? Purchased the pattern and realized too late that water will run right in. The bags are not lined on the inside, so I still have access to the bottom view of the stitching
  2. Just finished a set of saddlebags as a Christmas pressie for my brother who just started riding this year. Learned a lot of lessons about wax waterproofing and edge finishing. Also learned not to use Eco-Flow one step on large surfaces; could not get an even coat, so there are way more streaks and splotches than I would like.
  3. Yeah, I was a little disapointed with the edging on the lining. I thought it would look okay if I trimmed it flush to the facing piece, but in retrospect, I probably should have folded it under.
  4. Thanks for the comments. The lining is a pigskin split, suede both sides. I wanted the strap to have a bit of grab on the shoulder so that it wouldn't slide around too easily.
  5. This is my first attempt at a significant project. I was going for a garden at twilight effect with the colouring, which is why everything fades up from brown. Let me know what you think. Pattern is the basic Tandy guitar strap pattern.
  6. Tandy now has an iPod app that is a start on what you're looking for. They only have a few tools available right now, but they are planning more. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tandy/id401656166
