  1. Ok, my basic iphone photo wasnt cutting it, so had to go back and find the camera, and made a newer attempt while I was it. Feedback is welcome. I took the picture on a canvas drop cloth, right after I was finished tooling the leather and had applied a coat of oil. Appreciate any feedback or suggestions anyone may have.
  2. I am still pretty new to leatherworking. I have done a couple of simple projects so far, this is my latest attempt. I am practicing tooling a rose in a pattern I want to use to make a belt for my wife. I have followed all the instructions I could find, this is my third attempt at this pattern. I am pretty pleased with it, but I would like to have others opinions on how it looks, and what I can do to improve. I took this picture with my iphone, I will take a new picture tomorrow when the sun is up if needed.
  3. I would recommend (so you dont make the mistake I did on my headblade case) dont use only one strap. I made mine with only one strap, and when I travel to classes and what not the blade can slip out the side the strap is not on. Dan
  4. Hi Max, I am fairly new to leatherworking myself, started back in the summer. I have been going to the Tandy Store on Walzem, and I can tell you from a novices point of view, Fred is a great teacher, and a great person. If you can make it up hopefully wer will see you at the classes. Just wanted to add be aware that the store location is changing from Walzem road to I-35 and Weidner in San Antonio sometime in January 2011.
