I am new to leatherworking and have been making small cases for tablets, writing pad folders, and the like. I enjoy making just about anything but am really interested in construction techniques (seams, finish, padding, welting, etc) rather than decorative work like carving and tooling. I would eventually like to make high-quality bags, purses, etc but my skills aren't anywhere close yet.

I have already learned a lot from leatherworker.net and hope to learn and practice enough at some point to contribute (without being embarrassed!). Thanks to the folks on here and especially to the team that runs the site for one of the best sources of information I've seen.
