I have always had a keen interest in artistic crafts but never had anytime due to being a design engineer in the silicon rat race. I also have a love for sports and was willing to try anything. A few years ago things changed in a major way. My love for sports and constant circling the globe as systems architect consultant caught up with me physically. Now after many surgeries I find myself outside of the rat race and now have lots of time for my new less physical craft hobbies. The first thing I did was build a wood shop and started designing and making custom furniture, boxes and turnings. Then one day I decided knives were cool and started making custom knives (customize knives from bare blades). Knives need sheaths, which got me started into leather crafts. Then out of know where my wife finally decides gun are fun so we started collecting a few fine shooting instruments, which in turn need holsters and cases thus more leather work. I am just learning the art of leather craft and found and joined this forum. I hope to learn much and help where I can. I do have a web site under development, but am in no hurry to get it done.
