I really love this chessboard! I'd like to know a little about how it was made; there are some things that can't be discerned by viewing the photo. For instance, was the playing surface itself tooled at all or only colored? I promised a young man I know, who is a school chess club member, that I'd make a chessboard for him and I'm looking for ideas.
