  1. ok, here are the pics of thread path. I have 92 thread in there, more noisy.I have had issues with the feet since I got this machine, don't know where to get replacements. I readjusted top tension as I think it was set for thicker stock however, same noises etc. Thanks again for your expertise.
  2. Thank you Uwe for the advice all around, I didn’t know how to get to specific users and certainly glad you happened upon it. I will get some video of whats happening and post it. Thanks again!
  3. I do have that manual. I am looking for more help on timing. I figured out some of the issues of the thread catching but in reverse it is really noisy and can’t figure it out! Thanks for the link though:)!
  4. Hello all, I am looking for some good videos on self servicing my Pfaff. I can’t get it to a service or repair shop and am having some issues especially with reverse. I am hoping for some videos like Uwe Grosse (hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more) makes as his 563 videos are priceless to me! Any and all advice is greatly appreciated:)
  5. I do have a thread guide and it is a new needle. It only shreds in thicker stock and especially in reverse. the reverse stitch length is also much shorter than forward length. Trying to figure out that adjustment. it seems the hook might not be close enough to the needle. thanks for the input! if anyone knows how to adjust the reverse stitch length please let me know!
  6. Hi All, I have a pfaff 345. With 138 thread on top and bottom the upper thread shreds with anything other than one layer of 5oz Leather. It doesn’t always break but it ends up unravelling and binding on the channel side of the needle. looking at the hook it seems it is grabbing the thread right in the middle. Not sure how much closer I can move the hook to the scarf! any ideas? Thanks in advance!
  7. Thanks Northmount! And thank you Constabulary!
  8. Hello, I’m having a little trouble with a new machine I purchased. Pfaff 345 6c hln. The hook wont take up the thread. Does anyone know the proper measurements for needle bar height etc for this to work properly? maybe my hook is too far from the scarf? It looks centered when it passes but a bit far away, how do I adjust this? also does anyone know if this machine has a clutch Release for the hook if it gets bound up? thanks!
