  1. My thoughts exactly. I've been tattooing for 20 years, I have tattoo ink stains on just about every article of clothing I own. Once that type of ink gets on something porous like unfinished leather, it's almost impossible to clean it off. That's why most tattoo chairs are covered in non-porous vinyl, so it can be easily cleaned and sanitized, natural leather is much harder to get clean from exess ink and because the surface is porous, it makes a perfect bacteria trap to promote infections. I don't believe this is tattooed, they are just calling it a 'tattoo'.
  2. I've never seen a real outlaw biker carry a gun openly, since many are convicted felons and would be arrested for it, most of them prefer concealed carry, although I'm sure they would certainly like this. Open carry is legal in most states, it's when you start hiding your guns that they want you to start getting permits. Probably wouldn't be too wise to get very far away from your bike when there's a real pistol in the holster if you wanted to keep your pistol, though. Never crank or ride the bike.Judging from what I can see of this bike, it's a show bike and probably never gets ridden much at all. Probably is only ran enough to make sure it will actually start. This is a bike for someone who doesn't actually have to be worried about riding very far, if at all. However there is some dicoloration on that pipe wrap, so I'm guessing it's been ridden a little bit at least, probably colored fiberglass pipe wrap, not leather.
  3. That thought runs through my mind everytime I see a shovelhead! LOL! I had one of those once, and lemme tell ya, they don't call 'em 'troubleheads' for nothin'! LOL!
  4. I would like to learn this style of lacing. I have that same booklet, but I find the illustrations confusing. I need a video to watch someone do this so I can learn it, anybody know where I can find one?
  5. Here's a seat I did recently for a friend of mine.
  6. I've been doing leather work for a few years now. I'm completely self taught, and I've gone about as far as I can with that, now I want to improve my skills and learn some new tricks, such as learning different stitching styles, so far I only know one. Here's a couple of leather carvings I've done. This one is my own design that I did for a friend of mine to use on a motorcycle seat that I never got to finish, he moved away,so I just gave him the leather, I hope he found someone to put it on a seat for him. This was the third carving I ever did: Here's another one that was meant for a motorcycle seat also. This was the second one I ever did.:
