Thanks for the reply oldtimer That sounds like it will be a nice awl I could make a plain ferrule like that easily enough just like yourself, however I'm after more of a "collet" style which would screw and unscrew to replace blades. Cheers Josh

G'day, I'm new here and I think this site looks like an amazing resource! I'm very glad I found it I am looking at making awl handles, however I have been struggling to find a supplier for a quality Ferrule. If anyone knew of a supplier of such an item I would be very grateful Thank you for your time, all the best for the new year! Josh
