I have the elite and with my purchase of a side and some hardware i needed today at the cost of $370 I only paid $260. That's a savings of $100+ on one visit! I have been an elite member since January of last year and I would estimate that it has saved me well over $1000+ over the last year. I would strongly reccommend this elite membership to those going through a side a month or chap makers in particular. My first purchase with my elite membership last year saved me more than the cost of the elite membership ($150) so how could I turn that down. This plan might not be the best for hobby crafters but for my business that centers around chaps, tack, and holsters saves a lot with this program.

I've had the same problem. But unlike you I am a strictly custom order guy. In person or over phone. I do not under any circumstances put a name or initials on it until I get paid. I still have a belt from 2011 with the name "Alford" on the back because I was dumb and didn't get the money up front. He still has no intention of paying. So needless to say every "Alford" I meet I try to sell this belt hahaha.

I've done alot of things with "Playboy Bunnies" and "trucker girls" on them. I know these are probably trademarked but I try to put my own twist on it. Plus all the leatherwork I've put those things on is on chaps and spur leathers for the fine feedlot cowboys of the Texas Panhandle so I think I'm in the clear.

I know just where your at David. Ive spent alot of my time around Plainview . Even finished all my schooling there .

Yessir "Cheif" is right. Although if ye ole USMC Black doesn't cover it up there is basically no hope.

I'm wanting to try this out really bad and I am about to ask an extremely dumb question so brace yourselves. Are you ready? Good. What did you use to make the cuts so perfect in the sharp corners? Exacto knife? Some sort of strange triangle shaped punch? Getting corners that clean is nerve wracking to me at least. I try this out when I'm confident with my skills and its always sure to drop me down a peg or two.

I currently reside In the Stephenville area and have been doing leather work my whole life but only seriously for a little over a year. I make chaps, assorted tack, repair saddles, and make other leather goods ranging from holsters to wallets and everything in between. I grew up in Southern New Mexico on a ranch and in The Texas panhandle working feedlots and wheat pasture cattle. I thank God everyday that I was born in the great state of Texas though. Hell I'm a hill country resident as well, and I can tell you for a fact that expensive tools are nice but basic "cheapo's" will do the job. Thats how I started. A guy owed me money on hay and settled up with maybe 10 stamps, rivet setter, and a side of leather. I just went to work. I have upgraded some of my tools and added on alot but I will tell ya I still put out high quality work with the "basic seven" circa 1985 haha. The only tools I spent some serious cash on are my mauls, knives (round & otherwise) and a good swivel knife. Hell my strap cutter is a hunting knife hammered into a cutting board with nails as guides. (I do have strap cutters and such but sometimes its nice to keep things old school). Keep your head up amigo. As a fellow welder/ leather craftsman good luck in your future projects.

Dennis I have been doing leatherwork for a few years and really got serious about it a year ago. It is a fun hobby and with every project you learn something new (Even if its the 100th wallet you've made you will learn SOMETHING new). Anyway I'm 21 years old and just moved from West Texas to Stephenville and I have to admit I like ya'lls part of Texas.
