intimidating aren't they? I remember using them at Wooded River Clothing company when one of the seamstresses were out sick. The only thing I can suggest is meet the edge, smooth excess fabric and prepare for a long seam run... hold your breath and mash the pedal. Don't try to stear it..that just makes it worse.

I wish I could sew straight on any machine. You have my sympathies.
