  2. hello everyone. i just picked up a white 1927 sewing machine. first question is this machine suitable for lighter work, like wallets. second question i also picked up an old singer table that belong to my grandfather it has a 1/3 hp motor, clutch pullies. the machine was fitted to another table, so no machine. so my question is can i retrofit the white to the singer belt drive. or would this be a big pain in the butt. i would like to keep and use the table so if i cant use the white are there any good antique singer sewing machine people out there. thanks gritty

  4. great suggestion itch. i just picked up a piece of granite literally the size of a cinder block. i went by a monument shop and asked them if they had any drops. $1600 for a 2.5 x 8 piece of granite countertop is really expensive. are they going to polish the edges and install it? you should be able to pick up for $25 a sf. most companies have this size in remnants.. look around. i used to do granite work. one of our biggest problems was getting rid of remnant material. it has already been paid for so it is just straight profit. i would stay away from manufactured stone true it's mainly quartz, but only 85 % the rest is epoxy. it will probably be as much as natural stone. most comanies dont have as much reminant because the slabs are smaller. i hope this helps gritty
