  2. be careful if you pull the needele. badgers have a needle bearing that can be damaged really easy. you can also put cleaner in then hold your finger over the nozzle to back flush. then spray without finger to get all the crap out. then follow above. i mainly use acrylics and it builds up fast. good luck
  3. i am using an iwata neo mostly they run about 65$. i'm also running a portercable pancake compressor that i used for a nailgun. this combo works great for what i do. get a good water seperator. good luck. airbrushes are addicting
  4. i just bought a 2" u strap cutter and the second day chipped the blade on a glue spot on my cutting board.
  5. i would skiuve the gusset. i also get the gusset edge wet and the use small spring clamps to fit it to the back . when they dry it's alot easier to glue and sew.

  9. hi all i have acquired several gallon jugs of prime leather finish. the jugs were from around 1997 and they only had basisc info. i have googled it and i still can't find too much info. i figured it is not a stain it's a finish. i'm trying to find out if i can use it straight out of the jug, can i thin it. is it water basedand will it make me have childeren with 3 eyes. any information would be helpful i think. thanks gritty
  10. i always take a deposit for my furniture work. it is usually 50% this should cover my materials and time. if i have bought the material and have started the project i will not refund the deposit. if i have bought the material and haven't started i will refund the deposit less material. hope this helps gritty

  14. i'm using goat for the gussett, but you can skive the edges of the gussett. then get the gassett wet it will be more plyable. this has worked for me, but i've only 3 bags. are you doing square 90 degree corners or a radius corner?
  15. i punch my holes around the front and back then i glue back to gussett i use little spring clips every few inches to hold it all together. then i poke holes through the punch holes and gussett. i will do about 10 holes at a time, so i don't have to remove the clips all at once. hope this helps. i vote for the hidden skull gritty

  17. hi str8line. i'm in knoxville. i learned to weld from a retired pipefitter/ tool making blacksmith in NC. i have much respect for your trade. i have a hard time focusing on something long enough to become a master at anything. always learning
  18. hi bill do you have any pictures of something simular? i have a couple ideas. do want it to be a press or a hammer it? do you want removable dies to change sizes of holes? how many different spacing settings would you need. oh wait i just had an idea. i need to draw it before i forget it brendan

  20. i've been doing leather work for a few months now. i have been mostly doing carved bracelets, but i'm interested in learning all i can about leather. i'm a cabinet maker as a profession, but i'm also a toolmaker/ welder and i also do silversmithing. i'm happy to help anyone who is interested in any of these areas. you can see some of my work at grittyroots designs on facebook.
