  • How did you find leatherworker.net?
    internet
  1. I bought a New Kingmax 441 and traded my Artisan. It's is alot smoother machine. But the dealer in denver had all kinds of used leather machines. When i was there they had used Nels, Cowboy, Adler, Singer machines. The nice thing about these people is they carry parts. Thats Important!!!! There is alot of companies selling new equipment or used equipment and don't have the attachments to make your work easier. They also customized my feet and made it in there machine shop. Call them! 1-800-525-0330 or email them there website is www.kingmax.us.com
  2. I bought a servo and traded in my motor. You may call Ralph's in Denver i saw pallets full of 110volt motors. There phone is 1-800-525-0330 or go to there website www.powersew.com and you can email them.
  3. I'll put my two cents worth. But i have work with my father for 20 years and he used primarily a Ferdco which is great but they closed. But Kingmax has all the parts for many saddle machinery. You can get your supplies from them. They have schmetz, groz-beckert and singer needles. They were the Singer co. in Denver they have sizes of needle all the way down to size 18! I know that its kind of small for some leather machines but there available. There website is www.powersew.com. Drop them a email i'm sure they can give you great service that we have received from them for many years.
  4. My father has a Singer 29k and gets his parts from a Singer Industrial Sewing dealer in Denver. They were part of the Singer network in the U.S. for over 60 years. The company is called Power Sewing Machine. Check there website www.powersew.com or call them 1-800-525-0330. We get all our sewing supplies from them as well as thread. Good Luck!!
  5. For leather or canvas i bought a Juki LU1560 great machine later i bought a Kingmax GC1560 great machine too but alot cheaper for the same machine! The reason we bought this type of machine was i had a very high foot lift. All the double needles out there have knee lift bolted under the table. If you used them they go out of position alot. The Juki/Kingmax have the knee lift built in the machine, what a difference. I also like the Pfaff 1246 but you can buy 3 Kingmax for the price of one. Also its like a porsche for parts are very expensive. I buy my equipment and supplies at Ralph's in Denver. Call them they have alot of used equipment as well 1-800-525-0330. There website is www.powersew.com. Juki web site is www.juki.com and Kingmax web site is www.kingmax.us.com. I don't have Pfaff website sorry. Good luck on your search.
  6. You may call Ralph's in Denver they distribute the old Ferdco line which is the Kingmax line now. They also have used equipment. If you call them and ask for Jack he can help you. I know there phone is 1-800-525-0330 or website is www.powersew.com.

    Sewing Machine

My father has an older pfaff 145 he loves it! These machines have been discontinued but my dad buys his parts at Ralph's in Denver. They carry alot of parts for these machines. You may also call them they also carry used equipment. There phone number is 1-800-525-0330
  8. I don't know how Kingmax ships in there machines. I Know that Ralph's and Ferdco set the machines for the customers needs. I know Ferdco had a outside machine shop but Ralph's has a inside machine shop. Unlike the other shops i check on which just import and sell them, Ralphs customizes the machine for the customers needs. I would call them for more information 1-800-525-0330.
  9. I bought a Kingmax GA441. The machine is Great! Smooth and quiet. My father bought a Ferdco machine probably about 10 years+ ago before there was artisans, cowboys etc. Guess what? It was made by Kingmax! Yes Kingmax is the brand name but they have been exporting them for a decade or more. I talk to the people at Ferdco before they closed for health reasons. But there website is still working and they cross reference the Ferdco name with the Kingmax models! If you don't know there website its www.ferdco.com. So the information i see on this blog is either people who don't know or competitors trying to bad mouth a good company. You can probably save a buck here or there but Kingmax has a track record and in China there are many factories which make similar or in many cases probably from the same factories. I bought my machine from Ralph's in Denver. They carry a full line of equipment. They have been in business longer then everyone else i believe 38-40 years. They were one of the offices for the Singer co. By the way if you have a old singer machine and need parts call them they still have alot of oboslete parts plus they have a machine shop to make custom parts. I'm sure if you talk to Jack he would of work with you on price! The website for kingmax is www.kingmax.us.com i have been very satisfied with there products as well as my father when the name was Ferdco. Just my two cents worth.
