Hey everyone, not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this. I recently dismantled and replaced the air bladder on a Tippmann Clicker 700. I thought I would share the video I made in the process, it shows the dismantle and components of the Tippmann Clicker 700 (incase there are other repairs, or someone is wondering how they work). If by holster you mean gun holster, then you might want to consider a machine that can use 207 to 346 thread. I looked into machines a few months ago. (bought an Artisan Toro 3200...similar to Cobra class 4) And one major thing was the flat bed machines max thread was usually 138 or 207 on top, and 138 bottom. This is fine for thin items, like wallets, cases, and purses. But, not really ideal, if you want to make holsters or anything heavy duty....Though, maybe its personal preference, I like using 277 thread for anything above 8-9oz leather. And use 277 - 138 for wallets. Also, as mentioned above, many flat bed machines won't clear 3/4"... some won't clear 1/2". The Cobra class 4 and Artisan toro 3200 have really great range of thread options and are more versatile (when I went to Artisan store, they had a 1in thick piece of leather in the machine for demo). But they definitely cost more than a flat bed machine.

In my experience 8-9oz will sometimes crack if you bend U shaped, it AFTER you apply die and finish. This is because the dye dries and makes the leather stiffer. In order to make a U shaped bend, I always put a 90 degree or even the U right after I dye it. Do this while it is still wet from the dye, almost wet-forming. Let it dry, then apply some Neatsfoot oil, lightly and allow it to sit for awhile, to where you can't even tell it was oiled and THEN apply your acrylic finish. Neatsfoot oil can darken leather, so be aware of this...

Sorry, I have not used it personally. Though, I would probably just experiment on a few scrap pieces of leather, and see what effect looks good. I would think it would need a top-coat finish on top, just to sure. You could also call Springfield Leather and talk with them about recommendations.

I use this from Springfield... had one for over 2yrs, without any issues. I've never heard of Amazon contacting anyone directly to solicit their handmade product, seems unlikely they would. They don't really need to waste time doing that, why would they pay service reps, to solicit, when all they would need to do is announce a handmade section on their homepage. Its more likely they would use service reps to screen and reject submissions. There are probably, hundreds of vendors that apply to be vendors, on a monthly/weekly basis, there is no need for them to solicit. I could be wrong, but I would verify that it is actually Amazon... Not sure how...but sounds fishy to me.
