We can make the masonic stamps for you. It takes around 2-3 working days for it to be ready to ship.

Agree, wouldn't risk it. It's better to have a vector graphic prepared for the signet and have a proper leather stamp custom made.
We could help with the vector file preparation and stamp making too.

We provide custom font letters or alphabet stamps made of brass, any font, any size!
They can come with an interchangeable stamp holder or individual stamps.

Hi there,
We are are specialised in custom made leather stamps! We offer 4 types of stamps depending on your preference.

2. We have one that is designed for use with arbor press ($68) Sometimes it can be hammered on too depends on the size of your design. http://lwleathers.com/product/custom-leather-stamp-for-arbor-press-stamping-embossing-branding-leather
3. We have another one that comes with a hammering handle ($98). The stamps are interchangeable, perfect for multiple stamps (additional stamps are $38 each only) http://lwleathers.com/product/custom-leather-stamp-with-hammering-handle-for-leather-emboss
4. We also provide a custom heat embosser for leather stamping ($128). Please see the video in the link below. Good tips on using acetone! I wonder if it would leave a mark on natural veg tanned leather?
We now provide a 500W branding iron with temperature adjustment too! It's efficient for stamps up to 4 inches wide: http://lwleathers.com/product/electric-branding-iron-for-leather-wood-temperature-adjustable
Hexacon electric makes leather brand irons. I currently use a 250w iron. Anything under 100w won't get hit enough. A torch will leave a soot.
I'll use a little acetone to dampen thin 2-3oz leather.
If I use water the leather will curl. I need to get a temperature control and play with the settings.
I also use a fine bristle stainless brush to clean the brass stamp inbetween stamping.

Thanks a lot Jake! Would love to see how the emboss turn up on you works!
I just received mine too and it works flawless. Really like it and will be ordering more. Thanks!

Thank you so much Robert for your nice review!

A leather case for the stamp is a great idea! Aluminium or Brass stamps are relatively soft metals, they could be damaged if it's got knocked down from the table.

Hi there,
We are rolling out a arbor press with temperature control this month which you might be interested in. The price range will be $600-800 including the stamp and/or cutting die. I'll keep you guys updated once I've fully tested the system!

So, the $38 stamp should not be used on an arbor press?
Hi there, the $38 one is only 8mm thick and we do not recommend using with an arbor press because after prolong usage, it tends to crook. We recommend the 25mm thick one for arbor press.

I got a very nice brass stamp from LWLeather.com (they advertise on this site) and the web address will take you to Etsy.
mines a 3x3cm square - be warned though, you will need a decent amount of force to ensure a clean impression. I am gonna buy an arbor press to get the stamp consistent.
the detail is incredible - you can even see the Roosters eye on the leather and its almost microscopic!

Whats wrong with the plastic ones?
Metal stamps like steel or brass are much more durable than plastic, especially the ones for hammering.

You can consider our custom letter set and handheld heat embosser!

If it's a hot press, you could use foile for it, I suppose. Which one, and are you happy with it?
thx

I have used a three inch disk but got best results with smaller. I mainly use it for 1.5" x 1" oval stamps for logos
Ray
Indeed, larger stamps of regular thickness (around 8mm) tend to crook after prolong pressing by small arbor press. Smaller stamps under 1.5x1.5 inches will be perfect.
We now provide thicker material (20-25mm) for larger stamps to avoid the problem. But still, it's better to have a larger arbor press (with a larger pressing head) for more even emboss.

Or you could try our heat embosser with custom made stamp, it's easy to use and doesn't cost you a fortune!
